At Short Stories Studio we adopt each project brought to us as our own with a focus on adding a uniquely human element through handmade illustrations. The goal is always to creative something unique, entirely human and completely memorable. Our team specializes as storytellers, crafting, transforming and communicating messages in ways that people can related to emotionally. While our process is based on handmade illustration, we are highly capable of adapting projects to digital technologies.
We painted live for a time lapse video detailing Silk’s new package identity. The painting and video were used on Silk’s social media accounts.
Anfora selected Short Stories Studio as a featured artist for the 2018 Zona Maco international art fair. Polly designed and produced 45 hand-painted ceramic bowls celebrating the course of water. Each piece was entirely unique. The bowls were showcased at Anfora´s booth at Zona Maco, the most influential art fair in Latin America.
Short Stories Studio was invited to customize leather bags and wallets for Kate Spade´s new Bloom Bloom Spring 2018 collection. Polly hand-painted items from the new collection for in-store shoppers on the theme of nature and spring´s flowers.
The project consisted of illustrating more than a dozen painting of agaves of Mexico as well as the process behind mezcal. We completed the layout and design of the book as well as the binding technique.
Chef Oropeza requested Short Stories Studio to paint the cover for a unique edition of the popular magazine that focused on the topic of food waste.
For this project Polly used no paint for the illustrations, instead she utilized completely natural materials including strawberry and blueberry juice, matcha, coffee and tomatoes.
Nike asked Polly to design and lead a workshop to celebrate Air Max Day 2018 in Mexico City.
The watercolor workshop was designed to inspire artists and participants to paint over a silhouette of the Air Max 270.
The two-hour workshop was hosted in a gallery at the Air Max Day headquarters.
Polly designed organic illustrations for the release of new Yoplait yogurt flavors with the theme of fruits and fun.
Our studio both painted and photographed 20 illustrations for display on Yoplait´s social media networks.
We designed characters for a healthy food delivery service for kids. As part of the Chicharos Magicos project, we designed three different personalities; the curious boy, adventurous girl and their trusty sidekick, Curry.
Polly drew the characters in different positions and situations to be presented with the healthy recipes.
ISE Sport wanted a special ball that would inspire vulnerable kids from Mexico to play fútbol.
We produced 25 digital illustrations for the balls, which ISE Sport gifted to hundreds of kids.
Each drawing was made with the concept of being inclusive to all kinds of children. The main message of the project was that boys and girls and equal, strong and all have the right to play whatever sport they want.
Balls are being sold in chain retailers to fund the project.
We had the fortune to work hand by hand with Sony Music México team to design and illustrate all the members of CNCO boy band, the illustrations were shown in their social media and printed out for giveaway stickers in their concerts & showcases.
We were asked to illustrate the official logo for the Frontera Farmers Foundation hosted and organized by the Chef Rick Bayless,
